In business sales, the seller is normally very well represented. I help the prospective buyer make sure there will be adequate cash flow to meet the financing requirements, and develop a financially healthy business.

Do you use QuickBooks Online?

Yes. The majority of my clients use QuickBooks Online. Many tax preparation offices do not like QBO. Why? Because they don't know how to use it. They are used to the QB Desktop. I personally use QBO for my business and there are features in QBO that are not available in Desktop. Some tax preparers will not work with QBO companies. They are missing the boat. QBO is the future of small business accounting.

Do you prepare taxes?

No. I work on owners side of the relationship, working directly with the company and business owners. I prepared taxes for several years while in Public Accounting. I prepare the year-end and hand off my work to the tax preparer of their choosing for processing.

Should I switch tax preparers?

Generally, No or at least not until an evaluation of their service can be done with me. Many frustrations with accounting relationships are rooted in different expectations. If the quality of your records is high, you should expect prompt and quality tax preparation. Often times, client records are in such bad condition that the tax preparer can't efficiently do their job.

Will you help find a new tax preparer?

Yes. I have helped several clients switch to new tax preparation offices. I know of several firms that do quality work at reasonable prices, and would be glad to help transition away from your current preparer.
